Helpr

What Helpr can’t be used for

Helpr is for everyday errands between students: food from the caf, something from the store, a parcel from the porter’s lodge. A few kinds of request aren’t allowed, whatever the price. This applies to both sides: don’t post them, and don’t take them.

Academic dishonesty

No signing attendance, writing a test or exam, or handing in work for someone else.

For example: “Sign my name on the 8am attendance sheet.”

Collecting someone else’s ID or documents

No picking up an ID card, admission letter, or anything that proves who someone is, from a place they don’t control. Bringing your own ID from your own desk is fine.

For example: “Get my friend’s ID card from their room.”

Going into someone else’s room or space

Waiters don’t let themselves into anyone’s room. Handovers happen at the door, the hall gate, or the porter’s lodge.

For example: “The key is under the mat, go in and bring my laptop.”

Pretending to be someone else

No errand that needs the waiter to tell a lecturer, porter, or library desk that they’re somebody else.

For example: “Tell the porter you’re my brother so they release my parcel.”

A person at Helpr reviews every report. An errand that breaks these rules is cancelled, and the accounts involved can be paused or removed. If you’re offered one, don’t take it. Tell us through Talk to support.

Everyone agrees to these when they sign up, here or in the bot, before they can ask for or deliver an errand. Version 1.
